The International Rare Diseases Research Consortium (IRDiRC) is a global collaborative initiative launched in 2011 by the European Commission and the US National Institutes of Health to tackle rare diseases through research.
Developed by IRDiRC, the Orphan Drug Development Guidebook (ODDG) is a patient-focused guidebook that describes the available tools, incentives, resources and practices specific for developing traditional and innovative drugs or therapies for rare disease indications and how to best use them.
